Quilting History

This page is a History of the quilts I have made since I began quilting in 2005.  Photos and descriptions about each quilt and whom the quilts were made will be included. Quilting brings me joy and excitement especially when I see the reaction of the recipient(s) of the quilt I made for them.

A quilt is something you make to keep someone you love ... WARM!
Quilters affect eternity;they can never tell where their influence stops. From my hands --- to your heart!
A quilt will warm your body and comfort your soul.

When life throws you scraps, make a quilt

Those who sleep under a quilt, sleep under a blanket of love.

Stars Ablaze Quilt #2

Stars Ablaze Quilt Pattern
This is my second pieced quilt I made fresh out of my Quilting 101 class. I found this pattern in a quilt book that was given to me by my mother-in-law, Karen Thompson. I loved working on this quilt while sitting at my kitchen table watching the Create Channel.
I didn't have my now quilting room set up so all my quilting was done at the kitchen table. Later, we turned one of our spare bedrooms into my quilting room. We would then get our kitchen table back and not eat around all my fabric and quilting tools.
Here is: Stars Ablaze!!! A quilt for my mom.

Brother and Sister-in-law's Quilts #3 and #4

Next in line to help me along my quilting adventure would be my Brother, Adam, and my Sister-in-Law, Mandee. My husband and I were taking a trip to visit my brother and his wife in Coeur D' Alene, Idaho. I wanted to give them something special for their new home and to continue with my new found hobby, Quilting!!!
I designed both of these quilts myself. No patterns to follow just some fabric and my creative juices. These will be my 3rd and 4th quilt I ever pieced and quilted.
